Mark Ziegler

Mark Ziegler is honored to join The Monthly After Dinner Cabaret with some of Columbia’s most talented singers. Mark is from Camden, South Carolina, where he started his love for acting and singing. At age four, he got his first solo, and his children’s choir director realized he had talent. From there, he began his acting career at the Kershaw County Fine Arts Center, where he landed his first role in the musical Oliver at the age of nine under the direction of the one and only Larry Hembree. He was also part of the Kershaw County Children’s Choir. His next big musical adventure came when he was honored by being selected for the Continental Singers at the age of 16, a Christian singing group based out of Ventura, California, where he spent three months doing a US and world tour starting from the West Coast and making its way East, then traveling abroad to Holland, Germany, Denmark, and South Africa. He attended the University of South Carolina and was a part of Carolina Alive, which, at the time, was a Show Choir.

Mark made his Columbia theatre debut in Columbia in 2011, performing in Workshop Theatre’s production of Hairspray. Since then, Mark has appeared in many shows across Columbia's theatres. Some roles at Workshop Theatre include Legally Blonde (Emmet), Songs For A New World, and Young Frankenstein. At Town Theatre, he appeared in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Grease (Roger). At Trustus, where Mark is currently a company member, he has appeared in Ragtime, Godspell, The Revival, Constance, Rock of Ages, and Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson. He is also currently a part of the Trustus Cabaret series, 520 Sings! He would like to thank his husband, Jay, for always supporting him, and all his friends and clients who came out to support him!
