Wayne Wright

Wayne Wright is a pianist, music director, performer, and theatre artist based in the Columbia area. A lifelong musician, he began playing piano at age six and has spent decades accompanying singers, directing music, performing onstage, and generally finding ways to make himself useful anywhere there’s a piano nearby. He currently serves as Music Director at Westminster Presbyterian Church and is also a co-founder of Soda City Theatre Company, where he works both onstage and behind the scenes. Whether he’s playing for a worship service, a musical, or an evening like this one, Wayne’s favorite part of making music is collaborating with other performers and helping create something that only exists in that particular room, on that particular night. He is delighted to tickle the ivories for the cabaret.
